He saw a similar reaction to the benchmark, with plenty of room for adjustments. He was between the 2nd and 4th Arrow. He tried many angles of attack. The 2nd arrow, with low axis rotation, looked great. The ball will respond if he pushes on the friction from that direction, sometimes a little too much. He had to use friction when he was closer to the third arrow. You can also see a more dominant rev dominant release. To keep it a bit more manageable, I am trying to control the rotation of the axis. Although the ball is responsive, it’s not impossible to control. The Zen is such an attractive ball.

I tried a few 2-handed shots and I am still learning how to speed up so that the ball is more responsive. The Radical Zing Hybrid was the last ball that I dropped in the middle control slot of my bag. The ball behaves the same, but it actually gave me more space. The Zen was the new benchmark because I could move left and right without losing hits so quickly. Although it might seem odd to speak of a pearl, it proves that these designations are irrelevant. It is all about how the ball behaves. However, it does start revving up before it transitions, which gives it a smoother appearance and makes it very easy to read. Although the transitions aren’t very sharp, I find them easily distinguishable as it moves down the lane. It felt like a ball with a large range of useability. It works well when it is thrown in the usual house breakpoint. It will respond to my drying and can be thrown in the dryer. It can be pulled and it will sit. It gave me plenty of space. I was also able to move many boards before the board started to hit weakly. For the video I demonstrated a few shots knocking off the OOB surface with a 4K pad which slightly increased my miss room both in and out with this ball. The 900 Global Zen high-performance bowling ball uses the S77R Pearl coverstock which provides a skid/flip reaction and helps open up angles on medium to. Along with several other testers most have been impressed with how easy the ball gets to the spot. The Zen for me was an easy read as I sent it down the lane. 900 Global Zen Soul (43 Reviews ) Add to Compare See Larger Image and Other Views Zen Soul Specs Originally Sold For: 184.99 This product (16613) is not available Similar Products Motiv Revolt Uprising - Limited Edition 214.95 (1) Ebonite Polaris Hybrid 14lb Only 174.99 (6) Roto Grip RST X-2 184. For me, I went with a short pin to pap layout due to my high rev rate and slower ball speed as I personally prefer more control with bigger pearls in the arsenal. Like the Aspect, the Zen Master’s box finish is 3000 Abralon. It uses the same low RG, high differential Meditate Symmetric core shape as the original, along with the S77 Response Solid coverstock that was used previously on the Aspect. It uses the new Meditate LD Symmetric core, which has the same core geometry from previous Zen bowling balls, but with a lower density to raise the RG to 2.56 and reduce the differential to 0.027. The pearl version of this cover will provide the most skid/flip reaction we have in the 800 Series. The Zen Master is the new heavy oil sibling of the original Zen from 900 Global. The Zen U provides some familiar imagery for 900 Global fans while also introducing some brand-new elements to their product line. The 900Global Zen U combines the reliability of a solid coverstock. The Zen features a pearl version of the S77 Response cover combined with an all new symmetric core. 900Global continues the success of the Zen bowling ball line with a urethane version. I think this ball can be in okay on most patterns, easy or hard It reads the mids more than a typical burn ball, but a mix of continuous and angular reaction gives a lot of styles a lot of options for when to use the Zen. This unique ball fits really well for versatility. Posted by Matthew Staninger on Oct 29th 2021
